MISSION STATEMENT: The Worship Arts Ministry is an exciting ministry that offers opportunities for service through musical arts for all ages. This ministry is about proclaiming God’s word and enhancing spirituality through excellent, diverse, and inspiring music and arts. We invite you to share and explore this ministry. Come and volunteer your time building God’s kingdom here on earth.

  • Acolyte and Crucifer Training Program

    This program is a step toward discipleship for children. This six-week program is for fourth through six graders. Children learn more about the liturgical calendar and colors, the importance of worship and church signs and symbols. Fourth and fifth graders serve as acolytes and sixth graders serve as crucifers. Training is in the Fall.

  • Amazing Grace Ringers

    Rehearsals are on Mondays from 5:30 - 6:30 PM in the Sanctuary.

    This is the intermediate level handbell group. Ringers continue to perfect the art of ringing through techniques and exercises. They also learn the skill and coordination from each individual ringer as well as teamwork. Their repertoire includes classical, anthems, spirituals, traditional hymns, and contemporary Christian music. They occasionally play in our traditional and contemporary worship services.

  • Bells Gone Steel

    Rehearsals are on Sundays from 4:30 - 5:30 PM in the Handbell Room.

    This is an exciting addition to our ministry for our sixth through twelfth graders. This group loves the special challenges and joys of handbells and steel drums. They learn intermediate handbell pieces of various styles and music written for steel drums. They also play arrangements for steel drums and handbells. They occasionally play in our traditional and contemporary worship services.

  • Camp Create

    This is a one-week exploration camp during the summer for kindergarten through eighth grade. Children learn music, art, science, and drama around a musical. On the last day of camp, they perform the music for the general public.

  • Chancel Choir

    Rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:15 PM in the Choir Room.

    Having served faithfully for generations, the Chancel Choir sings throughout the year except for the month of July. The choir explores challenging sacred literature representing a wide range of anthems, spirituals, gospels and standard liturgical music and modern choral anthems. They also enjoy a wonderful sense of camaraderie and occasionally takes weekend retreats and trips.

  • Concert Series

    The Worship Arts Ministry presents a variety of outstanding concerts throughout the year. These concerts feature both local and out of state artists. All concerts are presented to the public at no charge. Donations and love offerings are accepted to support our guest artists.

  • Friends of Lydia

    Meetings are scheduled as needed.

    This is a group of talented men and women who have come together to create magical moments with altar designs. This team finds new ways to transform the worship space. They also help in decorating our worship spaces during the season of Christmas, Lent, and Easter. Through powerful imagery, worshippers have the opportunity to experience the theme of preaching and music reinforced. This team understands that it is at the altars where our lives are altered.   • Instruments

    Rehearsals on Wednesdays at 5:00 PM in the Choir Room. Open to students in middle school and high school who play any instrument.

  • School of Fine Arts Ministry

    This is a mission-driven ministry designed to provide instruction in music and fine arts. Private lessons are available for piano, organ, voice, and guitar.

  • Solid Rock Ringers

    They meet on Sundays from 4:30 - 5:30 PM in the Sanctuary.

    This group rings hand chimes and is for second through fifth graders. Hand chimes are used as a training tool for ringing handbells. Ringers have fun learning how to read music and also learn the techniques of ringing. Ringers occasionally play in our traditional and contemporary worship services.

  • Tech Team

    This team is made up of dedicated men and women who use technology as a tool that allows them to create an atmosphere in which worshippers can worship and experience God. They help with the smooth operation of light, sound, and video during worship.

  • Voices in Bronze

    Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 5:30 - 6:30 PM in the Sanctuary.

    This is our advanced handbell group. With five and one- half octaves of handbells and four and one-half half octaves of hand chimes, this group coordinates tremendously and collaborates fiercely to create the smoothest and most expressive musical experience possible. They occasionally play in our traditional and contemporary worship services. This group also give concerts.

  • Worship Band

    The Worship Band leads worship in the Worship Center. Members share their musical gifts to gain spiritual growth and experience fellowship. They play a wide range of contemporary Christian music. Now forming new members.
