An Evening in Old Bethlehem

An Evening in Old Bethlehem has been canceled for 2020

An Evening in Old Bethlehem has been a tradition in the Lufkin community and of our church for over 35 years. Every year, we look forward to sharing the story of Jesus to over 4,000 people from all over who enter the City of Bethlehem. It is a labor of love for the over 150 volunteers who work for months to build the city and enjoy seeing people experience it.

However, with the concerns around COVID-19 and the restrictions from the State currently in place for large event gatherings, it is with a heavy heart that we have made the decision to cancel An Evening in Old Bethlehem for 2020. This was not a decision that was made lightly, and the committee discussed numerous options to continue this event in a smaller capacity, but the health and safety of the community and our volunteers is our number one priority.

We know An Evening in Old Bethlehem will open its gates again to share the miracle of the birth of Jesus Christ to the community in the future. In the meantime, we ask that you pray for all those affected and will be affected by COVID-19, and that we will soon see some relief from this pandemic.
