At First United Methodist Church, we believe that middle and high school students are a vital part of our congregation. Our Student Ministry strives to be an invitational and welcoming place for students of all backgrounds where they can find community and a place to belong. We want to meet students wherever they are in their faith journey, walk alongside them as they grow, and be a safe place where they can ask questions and learn to seek faithful answers. By providing worship, discipleship, and mission opportunities, we aim to help students become mature Christians who transform the world by Loving God and Loving Neighbor.

Lakeview District Camp
June 24 - 29, 2018
Registration for Lakeview District Camp is now open! As most of you know, Lakeview has made some changes over the last couple of years, the major being that because students now arrive on Sunday, the cost has been increased. Sarah and I have been working hard to help families with the additional expenses and through funds raised from the Pancake
Dinner we're able to discount camp by $100 for those that helped out. Additional assistance is available, and there are more opportunities for students to earn more discounts. Lakeview does have scholarship funds available and you can find the link to the application below.
All registration and payment will be taken care of through Lakeview. You will not be paying the church-you will pay Lakeview directly. The full payment is due to Lakeview by June 10, and you can pay in installments over the next few months if that works better for your family. Sarah and I are asking that our families register by April 29 so that we can plan for volunteers and transportation. Please be sure to select session 3 (June 24-29) when registering. You will also need your child's current shot records.
Below you'll also find a Parent Guide from Lakeview which includes information about registration and payment, plus
FAQ's and a packing list.
