Good Friday • Friday, April 14
7 PM • Sanctuary
Our Good Friday service is on the Stations of the Cross. Stations of the Cross is a way to pray and meditate on Christ’s sacrifice for us. It is a narration of the final hours in the life of Jesus Christ on earth that continues to provide spiritual conviction for early Christians and application to our lives. Divided into fourteen stations from the time Jesus was condemned to his burial, scriptures will be read followed by a time of meditation. This will be followed by a musical piece. Musical pieces are anthems, hand bell music, instrumentals, hymns or a liturgical dance. Stations of the Cross serve as a stark reminder of the humble manner in which Jesus was willing to set aside any privilege of deity to provide a path to salvation through His sacrifice.
